Highfields is looking forward to welcoming prospective students and their parents to their open morning.
Headteacher Mr Tate said: “At Highfields, we truly believe that every child matters and always work with students and parents to ensure that each student achieves their full potential.
“Highfields is a ‘welcoming and inclusive school’ (Ofsted 2021). Student conduct is exemplary, within a supportive and yet challenging environment. We want our students to learn successfully, gain qualifications and develop the skills they need to grow and prosper in the 21st century.
“Our broad and balanced curriculum, alongside consistently high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, means that students receive rich and diverse learning experiences and achieve well across the curriculum and beyond. More than 75% of our students routinely achieve a standard pass (Grade 4 or above) in both English and Maths and 60% a strong pass (Grade 5 or above) in both English and Maths. Around half of all students typically achieve at least one 9-7 grade.
“We combine, in our teaching and learning, the tried and tested with the innovative and exciting. We are committed to ensuring that Highfields is a digitally confident school offering students the very best facilities to meet their learning needs. Our Sixth Form is a vibrant and challenging place to learn, providing our students with the foundations to succeed on whatever life path they choose.
“We firmly believe in educating the whole child by extending students’ learning beyond the classroom. We expect every child to participate in our extensive extra-curricular and enrichment programme which will enable them to confidently take their place in society as caring and skilled individuals with a strong sense of community.”
