BRIDGNORTH ENDOWED PRIDES ITSELF ON BEING A VIBRANT, FORWARD-THINKING CO-EDUCATIONAL SECONDARY SCHOOL FOR 600 PUPILS AGED BETWEEN 11 AND 16
Bridgnorth Endowed continues to go from strength to strength, with a high demand for places, an excellent reputation across the region and an exciting new chapter ahead. The school is all set to become part of The 3-18 Education Trust, who come with a proven track record for providing an exceptional education experience for everyone in its care.
Headteacher, Mr Penn, said: “We are very much looking forward to joining a larger family of schools, where we can share ideas, innovation and best practice, while retaining our unique identity, ethos and values. This move represents an investment in the future of our students and will offer a raft of benefits for the entire school community.”
Previously the town’s grammar, Bridgnorth Endowed has a long and rich history that dates all the way back to 1503. Today, it is a vibrant, forward-thinking co-educational secondary school for 600 pupils aged between 11 and 16. The school benefits from 30 acres of beautiful grounds with sports pitches and an historic Old Hall, its own on-site leisure centre, and a fantastic location in the heart of Bridgnorth.
Its mission is to ensure that every student achieves their personal best by providing an education that challenges them intellectually and offers them a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities to help them thrive during their time there.
Being a smaller school is certainly a benefit as Bridgnorth Endowed enjoys a real sense of community, where staff are able to get to know each and every student and wellbeing is prioritised above all else. Pastoral care is exceptional and students feel secure and comfortable in an atmosphere that is calm, caring and built on mutual respect, both inside and outside the classroom.
Mr Penn concludes: “Here, at Bridgnorth Endowed, we place great value on our students’ pastoral and academic development and our aim is to create a genuine and positive culture that can be felt and that resonates throughout each day, and in every part of the school.”
The Year 7 Open Evening will take place on Wednesday 4th October with school tours also available in September and October.
