At Walsall Academy, we believe in the power of education to change lives. Our mission is to empower every student to unlock their full potential – academically, personally, and socially – and become confident, compassionate citizens ready to shape the future. At Walsall Academy our aim is for “Everybody to be a somebody”.

We are a warm, inclusive and oversubscribed school with a culture built on high expectations and mutual respect. When Ofsted visited us in 2022, they praised our students for treating each other fairly and valuing individual differences – testament to the strong, respectful relationships at the heart of our school community.
Our ambitious and inclusive curriculum enables all learners to succeed. We are proud to count Oxbridge, Arkwright, and Rank Foundation scholars among our students – just one example of the high aspirations we nurture every day. Many of our alumni return to inspire the next generation, either as guest speakers or staff members.
Walsall Academy stands out for its outstanding careers and work experience programme, delivered in close partnership with local employers. An impressive 98% of our Year 13 students go on to employment, further study or apprenticeships.
Beyond the classroom, our bespoke Character Education programme builds essential life skills, including resilience, teamwork, communication and creativity. Students enjoy a wide range of enrichment opportunities, from residentials and theatre trips to sporting events, eco-initiatives and performing arts.
As one recent Oxford undergraduate put it: “To me, Walsall Academy means a community of wonderful staff and students that has enabled me to reach my academic potential, pursue my passions and develop as a person.”
We invite you to come and see the difference for yourself. Find out more at: www.walsallacademy.com. Deadline for applications: 31 October 2025.
