Al-Burhan provides a high- quality education intertwined with a strong focus on personal development.

Pupils study the full breadth of the national curriculum and are supported to make continuous progress to achieve their full potential: “Pupils respond exceptionally well to these high expectations. They achieve highly across the curriculum and academic standards are consistently strong.” (Ofsted 2025).
In 2024 GCSEs:
- 100% of pupils achieved 5 or more Grades 9-4 including in English and Maths
- 49% of all GCSEs grades achieved were grade 7-9
- Attainment 8 score of 69.4 (compared to local average of 46.3, and England average of 45.9)
“I have been to ten schools altogether and I can only say that out of the 10, Al-Burhan had the most impact on me and allowed me to embrace my faith whilst studying.” (Pupil) The extended Islamic education focuses on exploring faith, developing understanding and linking teachings to daily life. Pupils recognise that our faith enriches us, making us balanced and morally upright people. “The school has a strong moral purpose…and guides pupils to know the difference between right and wrong, and to think of others… A culture of reflection and learning from mistakes helps to build pupils’ character and resilience” (Ofsted, 2025).
