At Church Stretton school they are proud of the opportunities they provide to their students both in and out of lessons, ensuring “Achievement for all!”
Academically, the school has gone from strength to strength, with excellent examination results achieved by their students.
The school quite rightly prides itself on offering students a broad and balanced curriculum which develops a wide range of skills and specialisms, supporting them to become confident and independent learners and young adults.
Of course, what happens outside of the classroom is also important to Church Stretton School staff. Annual initiatives such as their activities week see pupils accessing a range of experiences beyond their local area, providing memorable experiences for life. The school offers a great range of sports and outdoor pursuits as well as cultural experiences both at home and abroad.
There is much planned for next year too. Extra-curricular activities include a Bushcraft Camp. Older students every year look forward to European visits, exploring history and the First World War. Many students are successful every year (including last year despite Covid restrictions) in the world’s leading youth achievement award – the Duke of Edinburgh International Award.
The school also has a strong reputation for sporting prowess, with recent impressive recognition for students in hockey, polocrosse, football and athletics, amongst others.
Sports opportunities are excellent for students at the school and the school enjoys excellent facilities including extensive fields, a modern leisure centre and swimming pool.
The school looks forward to welcoming pupils and parents to its open events next month so they can experience the school first hand.
