With so many sixth form options to choose from, sometimes it’s difficult to get the tailored information you need to make the best decision. After all, your future depends on it.
At Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form we are proud of being able to offer you a better future. We have more than 30 different A-levels and Diploma pathways to make your own, with exciting new career-focused programmes including Law & The Criminal Mind and AAT’s prestigious Accounting qualifications as part of our Young Professionals Academy.
You may recognise our stand-out quirky campus which used to be The Public Art Gallery, or you might have known us as Central Sixth before we relaunched our brand new identity. This year we celebrated our best AS and A-level results ever with a 99% pass rate. Our leavers went on to well-deserved university places and employment opportunities.
One of this year’s A-star performers was Science and Maths student Louie Clark, who took his place at the University of Oxford. Louie achieved maximum A*A*A* grades in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to study Chemistry at Balliol College, where Prime Minister Boris Johnson studied Classics.
Louie said: “It’s surreal! It was a nervous wait for the outcome and I didn’t want to be too devastated if it didn’t happen. I’m still coming to terms with the fact that they’ve given me a chance, and this is such an opportunity.” Louie was offered a place on a four-year Masters course with his final year dedicated to research. Ultimately Louie has ambitions to work in the pharmaceutical industry. He added: “The style of teaching at Central Saint Michael’s really work for me. The way everything has been taught to me has been so helpful.”
Double Distinction Star grades were awarded to Business & Law Diploma student Delal Etel, who also achieved an A for Psychology A-level and an A for her Extended Project completed in association with the University of Warwick.
Now progressing to the University of Birmingham to study Law, her ultimate ambition is to become a solicitor and specialise in corporate law. Delal says: “I liked the freedom we had to control our own time. It makes you become more independent and mature. Also, taking a BTEC and an A-level in combination has really prepared me for university. We did presentations and business reports, group work and online assessments as well as exams and assignments.”
After achieving triple A grades in Accounting, Business and Economics, Kaven Judge has gone on to a Higher Apprenticeship with the world-renowned KPMG – one of the Big Four professional services networks offering audit, tax and advisory services. He is now studying for his degree combined with dream job experience at Ferrari, McLaren and Coca Cola.
One of Central Saint Michael’s first successful alumni Pavanjit Kaur is now a Foundation Year 1 Doctor at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. She was accepted to study Medicine at the University of Birmingham after gaining A* in Biology A-level and A grades in Maths and Chemistry. Anisa Islam is a newly qualified pharmacist at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
