Holly Rigby, Head of school at Park said: “The pupils really enjoy utilising the fantastic facilities and making the most of the opportunities that are available during
lessons and when taking part in the wide range of after school clubs.”
The leadership at the schools continue to embrace the motto “Ensuring Excellence” and this has certainly been evident so far this year.
Steve Carter, Executive Headteacher, said: “The pupils have responded superbly to the increased expectations, formal dress code and the early start to the school day.”
“Ensuring Excellence” is the theme in all aspects of school life.
A focus on excellent standards of academic achievement, along with a strong emphasis on outstanding behaviour is the norm.
There are also significant opportunities for students outside the planned curriculum, as an extensive programme of extra-curricular activities at both schools is on offer every week.
Mr Carter went on to say, “The wide range of clubs and societies on offer present a vital role in ensuring that individuals develop their own talents and interests, instilling in them a sense of pride in who they are and what they can achieve.”
Both schools also have a reputation for strong pastoral care systems; providing guidance and support for all students.
The house system builds on this to foster excellent working relationships and create a happy and well-disciplined atmosphere.
All students have a 25 minute Personal Tutor Session every day in a mixed age tutor group.
During these sessions students engage in a range of activities including peer mentoring, tutor mentoring and house assemblies.
They also as well as follow a mixed age programme of literacy, numeracy, citizenship and social, moral, spiritual and cultural education.
A combination of great facilities, strong leadership and sponsor with a proven track record for “Ensuring Excellence” point to a future which is extremely bright for everyone associated with these schools and the communities they serve.
