Work by students was also selected to be shown at the National Students’ Art Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London.

Last year’s exam results revealed that 79% of all grades at GCSE were a C or above, 80% of students achieved an A-C in English and 81% of students achieved
an A-C in Maths. In addition, there were 44A* grades in Maths!

Adams College

“The Sixth Form College is modern but with a strong history, committed to nurturing and monitoring our students closely.

Dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced teachers challenge and inspire our students.

Offering over 25 A-level and BTEC courses and a wide spectrum of enrichment opportunities, our students reach their potential and aspire to ambitious destinations.

Students are well prepared through our comprehensive programme of advice and guidance from universities and employers.

“Students are academically successful at all levels and are guided to achieve their full potential through mentoring and intervention. Last year’s exam results showed 41% of all grades awarded were A*- B with 15% at A*- A.

Adams House

“Adams House is a state boarding house which means that parents only pay for the accommodation and supervision of their children with educational costs
met by the Local Authority.

With support from the government and the trustees, boarders at Adams House have access to the quality of education and facilities more often associated with independent schools.

The warmth and stability of the boarding house gives students the opportunity to exceed in their academic studies.

We know how daunting it can be to move away from home, sometimes to a different country and we have an experienced team on hand to help with the transition.

“Students tell us how happy, safe and secure they feel at Adams House and we are proud to have built a caring, multicultural community where there is genuine respect amongst boarders for the values and beliefs of their fellow students.

For parents, we know what a big step it is to entrust your children into our care and we promise to keep lines of communication open so that parents remain active partners in their child’s education and development.

By the time our boarders leave us, we aim to have nurtured well-rounded individuals with a positive outlook on the world.

We are very proud that our boarding provision was rated outstanding by Ofsted in March of this year.”
