Students receive a superb level of focus from staff to support them whilst they are at the academy, and develop skills, attributes and excellent portfolios of qualifications that will support them in the future.
We are recognised as the most improved school and one of the highest performing in Sandwell and this is reflected in our results at both GCSE and A-level.
Bristnall Hall has one of the highest English Baccalaureate figures in the region which accentuates the excellent curriculum we offer, allowing students to flourish both academically and in terms of developing employability skills and attributes, setting them apart from other candidates when they go into the world of work.
The academy continues to build on links we have made with local and national employers, to enrich the experience our students have here.
Students’ conduct around the academy is something we are very proud of and we are always happy to show visitors around to see our learning community at work at any time of day.
The caring, community ethos at Bristnall Hall results in older students supporting and guiding younger students that join us, and students in Key Stage 3 benefit greatly from having strong role models from their peers and staff.
Our traditional building has been restored to its former glory and will be complemented by additional planned buildings and updated facilities being installed this year.
We have invested a huge amount into the ICT infrastructure over the past three years and this is set to continue with more hardware and even faster connectivity to support and accelerate the learning that takes place here.
We have an excellent team of teaching and support staff who pride themselves on developing strong relationships with our young people, where we have much
smaller than average class sizes and a very high staff to student ratio.
The package students receive here includes a free breakfast club for all students every morning and a rich extra-curricular programme that includes academic opportunities alongside a multitude of others including sports and performing.
In recent years, many secondary schools have limited the amount of experiences students have away from the school site, but at Bristnall Hall we place great value on students partaking in day and residential visits to enhance their learning, build confidence and to give them enriching experiences.
As a result, students have many opportunities that are local, national and overseas.
Last year’s Ofsted report supported our judgement that we were currently good or better in all areas and we are now well on the way to becoming an outstanding academy in the very near future.
The aim of the entire team here at Bristnall Hall is to ensure that your child is happy and that they experience the same high standard of outstanding education, care and support, that we would want our own children receive.
